ALERT: myCGS, IVR, and Other Systems Unavailable May 8
An upcoming Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) initiative will affect the mainframe systems for most Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs). As a result, suppliers will not be able to access usual information on CGS systems beginning at 9 pm CT on Friday, May 5, through close of business Monday, May 8.
On Monday, May 8, the following resources will be completely unavailable or only contain limited features:
- DME myCGS portal
- Customer Support (the call center will be completely closed)
- Claim Status Inquiry (CSI)
- Interactive Voice Response (IVR)
There is a possibility that the system update will continue into Tuesday, May 9. If so, we will post updates on our website and electronic mailing list.
We do not expect any delays to your payments. (We have prepared to process payments as if May 8 was a bank holiday.)
During this time, you CAN continue to submit claims through the Common Electronic Data Interchange (CEDI).
CGS recommends that you check any due dates for submitting a redetermination or reopening. If possible, submit anything due on or before 5/9/23 by 4 pm CT on Friday, May 5.
