Commodes Pre-Pay Review Quarterly Status Report

Below is the analysis of claim denials for commodes HCPCS codes E0163 and E0165 reviewed between January 1 and March 31, 2024. The error rate for this quarter is 39.43%. The top eight reasons for claim denials are as follows:

7. There is not a valid handwritten or electronic signature by the author of the medical record. 2.86%
8. The medical record documentation has corrections or changes that do not follow accepted record keeping principles. 1.43%
