myCGS DME Web Portal Terms of Use

CGS Administrators, LLC (CGS) reserves the right to terminate the access of any myCGS user who fails to comply with the following Terms of Use.

You are accessing a website/portal that interfaces with a United States Government information system. Access and use of this system is restricted to authorized persons only. Access and use will be monitored at all times. Unauthorized or improper use of this system may result in civil and criminal penalties. Knowingly accessing a Federal information system inappropriately is a punishable offense subject to fines and/or imprisonment.

CGS, the owner of this site, may monitor, record, and audit your system usage, including usage of personal devices and email systems for official duties or to conduct HHS business. Therefore, you have no reasonable expectation of privacy regarding any communication or data transiting or stored on this system. At any time, and for any lawful Government purpose, the government may monitor, intercept, and search and seize any communication or data transiting or stored on this system. Any communication or data transiting or stored on this system may be disclosed or used for any lawful Government purpose.

Authorized Users agree to all the terms and conditions and to use appropriate safeguards to prevent use or disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI) other than as permitted or as required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Unauthorized disclosure may result in prosecution to the fullest extent of the law. Designated Approvers grant access for all subsequent users in their organizations to access this portal based on appropriate business need. Designated Approvers are responsible for maintaining account access and reviewing all accounts at least every 365 days to ensure that each user’s access is still appropriate.

Users of myCGS shall read, acknowledge, and adhere to the following rules prior to accessing data and using CMS information and systems.

I understand that I must:

  • Comply with federal laws, regulations, and CMS policies, standards, and procedures and that I must not violate, direct, or encourage others to violate CMS policies, standards, or procedures.
  • Not allow unauthorized use and access to CMS information and information systems.
  • Not circumvent or bypass security safeguards, policies, systems’ configurations, or access control measures unless authorized in writing by CGS.
  • Not share my User ID, password, or other identity credentials with anyone, including system administrators, but protect my password and other access credentials from disclosure and compromise.
  • Not have more than one active User ID.
  • Be accountable for all actions specific to my User ID while accessing and using CMS information, information systems, and IT resources.
  • Promptly change my password when required by CMS policy or if I suspect that it has been compromised.
  • Not use another person’s account, identity, or password.
  • Only use authorized credentials to access CMS systems and will not attempt to bypass access control measures.
  • Discuss information displayed within myCGS only with those individuals within your organization who have a need to know.
  • Not use “bots” or any type of data-mining software within myCGS.
  • Not use a computer program, automated tools/scripts, or bots to bypass our CAPTCHA security check.
  • Use the MBI Lookup Tool solely to look up a specific beneficiary at the time of service/purchase, and only when the beneficiary does not have or cannot provide their Medicare ID card.
  • Not use any myCGS function as a wide-spread lookup of beneficiary information, for obtaining information for beneficiaries who are not direct patients of my company, or for data mining in any way.
  • Use physical workstations that provide security to keep information private.
  • Report any suspected misuse or security incidents as required by the HIPAA Privacy and Security requirements.

These Terms are put in place to protect the data of your patients and your company. CGS requires that all myCGS Users agree to follow these Terms of Use.
