Below is a list of known issues that users have experienced in myCGS. Please refer to this page for workarounds and resolutions to myCGS issues.

The system used to access Medicare remittance advices in myCGS is currently experiencing technical difficulties. Remittances may not be accessible in myCGS until the issue is resolved.

Verizon/Sprint Users are experiencing issues receiving myCGS MFA codes via text messages.

We have confirmed that this issue is impacting Verizon/Sprint only. MFA codes are still being received successfully via text to other carriers as well as via email. We are working with the appropriate areas to resolve this issue and will notify you when the issue is resolved or an update is available.

09.03.2019 – Verizon/Sprint users are now able to receive their MFA codes via text message. In addition, users are now able to receive their MFA and Profile Verification emails without delay as well.

HETS 270/271

Eligibility and MBI Lookup information is now available in myCGS. The Medicare HETS 270/271 system is responding normally to eligibility requests. CMS will continue to monitor the situation.

Eligibility and MBI Lookup information is currently unavailable in myCGS due to an issue with the Medicare HETS 270/271 system. CMS is working to resolve the issue and we will notify you once it becomes functional. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Submitting eOffset Requests

When requesting a Demand Letter Offset through the myCGS eOffset function, you are required to enter either the demand letter number or the AR number(s) associated with the overpayment. If you choose the option to enter the letter number, our system my be unable to locate it, preventing you from entering the request.

Choose the option to enter the AR number(s) instead.

myCGS system maintenance

UPDATED: CGS will be conducting regular system maintenance to the myCGS portal Friday, June 28 and beginning at 6:00 p.m. Central Time (CT). Maintenance is expected to be completed by 7:00 a.m. CT on Monday, July 1, 2019. During this time portal features may not be available.

T-Mobile Users: issues receiving myCGS Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) codes via text messages.

Currently, T-Mobile users are experiencing issues receiving myCGS Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) codes via text message. We have confirmed this issue is impacting T-Mobile users only. MFA codes are still being received successfully via text to other carriers as well as via email. We are working with the appropriate areas to resolve this issue and will notify users when the issue is resolved or an update is available. There is not an estimated time of resolution.

Beneficiary Eligibility and MBI Lookup

06.10.2019 – The myCGS MBI Look-Up tool will be unavailable due to a temporary maintenance outage on Saturday, June 15, 2019 beginning at 7:30 AM ET until 1:00 PM ET.

Upcoming Maintenance Outage Affecting Beneficiary Eligibility and MBI Lookup

The myCGS MBI Look-Up tool will be unavailable due to a temporary maintenance outage during the following time frames:

Saturday, May 18, 2019 – The outage will begin at 7:30 a.m. Eastern Time (ET). CMS estimates that maintenance will be completed by 12:00 p.m. (Noon) ET on Saturday, May 18, 2019.

Sunday, May 19, 2019 – The outage will begin at 12.00 a.m. (Midnight) ET. CMS estimates that maintenance will be completed by 8:00 a.m. ET on Sunday, May 19, 2019.

Friday-Saturday, May 24 - 25, 2019 – The outage will begin at 8:30 p.m. ET. CMS estimates that maintenance will be completed by 12:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, May 24, 2019.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

02.27.2019 – This issue has been resolved and myCGS users may now receive MFA codes via text.

01.28.2019 – Currently, users on some mobile phone carriers are unable to receive MFA codes via text on the myCGS portal. We are working diligently with the appropriate areas to resolve this issue and will notify you when the text function is restored or an update is available.
