Updated Fiscal Intermediary Standard System (FISS) Direct Data Entry (DDE) Screen and User Manual Changes

The July 2021 quarterly system release, which will be implemented on July 6, 2021, includes changes to the FISS DDE screens identified below.

In addition, the FISS DDE User Manual has been re-designed to make all information more accessible without having to navigate to different documents. Just click on a link to a Chapter to display additional information.

Inquiry Menu (Map 1702)
The Inquiry Menu will be updated by adding menu selection 1F OUD DEMO 99, which includes Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) Model Provider CAP information. When selecting 1F from the Inquiry Menu screen, Map 1E91 displays.

Map 1882 – ANSI Related Reason Codes Inquiry

The ANSI Related Reason Codes Inquiry screen (Map 1882) will be updated to add the new field CWF NCD IND. Map 1882 is accessible by pressing the F8 key from the Reason Codes Inquiry screen, Inquiry option 17. The CWF NCD IND field will identify if the reason code is associated with a Common Working File (CWF) National Coverage Determination (NCD) reason code. This field will be populated with a Y (yes) or N (no).
