Which myCGS® Did You Access?

CGS administers multiple Medicare contracts, not just the Jurisdiction 15 (J15) contract. As such, we have two completely separate versions of myCGS—one for J15 A/B MAC (Part A, Part B, and Home Health & Hospice) and one for the Durable Medicare Equipment Medicare Administrative Contract (DME MAC JB and JC). The two versions of myCGS® look similar, but they are actually separate applications.

When you access myCGS, it's important to make sure you are using the J15 A/B MAC version of myCGS®. A valid ID for the J15 A/B MAC myCGS® will not work in the DME MAC myCGS, and vice versa.

To make sure that you are accessing the J15 A/B MAC version of myCGS, we recommend the following:

  • Always access myCGS® from the J15 Part A, J15 Part B, or J15 HHH web pages. Click on the myCGS® link in the left column. Do not attempt to access myCGS® directly from an internet search site (i.e., Google, Bing, etc.).
  • Look at the URL in your internet browser's address bar:

    The J15 A/B MAC myCGS® URL is /mycgs/index.html

The DME MAC myCGS® URL is https://mycgsportal.comExternal Website

  • On the login page, look in the "Who Can Register for myCGS?" section. The text will state either "Jurisdiction 15 A/B MAC" or "DME MAC Jurisdiction B and C."

For more information about myCGS, be sure to check out the myCGS® User Manual and various job aids which are available under the J15 Part A, J15 Part B, or J15 HHH myCGS® webpage.
