Medicare Updates
Everyone will start their day in the auditorium with an overview of recent changes and updates to the Medicare program.
Session Two: 9:15 – 11 am CT (Select One)
Documentation Requirements for DME & Supplies
Tailored to the needs of DME suppliers, we'll go over Medicare's standard documentation requirements including standard written orders and signature requirements. We'll also discuss how to properly handle amendments and corrections to medical records, continued use and continued need, requests for refills, and proof of delivery.
Documentation Requirements for Orthotics & Prosthetics (O&P)
Tailored to the needs of orthotic and prosthetic equipment suppliers, we'll look at written orders prior to delivery, face-to-face encounters, the differences between custom fit and custom fabricated orthotics, proof of delivery, and more.

Successful Claim Submission
Increase the chances that your claims will be correct the first time, saving both time and money. Learn how to build a strong intake process and how to navigate the entire claim submission process. This is a great course for new suppliers and employees whose roles have recently changed in your company.
Lower Limb Orthoses Updates & Compliance
Suppliers who provide knee, ankle-foot, and knee-ankle-foot orthoses will want to attend this session. We'll review the most common reasons for denials, non-affirmations from prior authorization, and share tips on how to avoid them.
Respiratory Equipment Updates & Compliance
Attend this session if you provide respiratory equipment. Recent policy updates (Nebulizers, PAP, Oxygen, and Ventilators) will be discussed. We will review recent audit results and focus on the top errors found by auditing entities.
Finding Answers: Know Your Resources
This session will help answer questions such as "Where do I find…" or "I wonder if there is an option to…" by highlighting different tools and resources offered by CGS to make claims billing easier and more efficient.

Advance Beneficiary Notices of Non-Coverage (ABNs) & Upgrades
Learn about the financial implications associated with ABNs and how to complete an ABN. We'll also discuss when and how to deliver ABNs to Medicare beneficiaries and billing claims for upgrades.
Glucose Monitors Updates & Compliance
Get the latest updates and information about Medicare coverage and documentation requirements for glucose monitors and continuous glucose monitors (CGMs). We'll also share information on common claim submission errors and audit results.
Lower Limb Prostheses Updates & Compliance
We will share examples of the most common reasons for denials, audit review analysis, non-affirmations from prior authorization submissions, and tips on how to avoid them.
Reopenings, Redeterminations & Overpayments
When can you submit a reopening or a claim correction? When should you submit a redetermination request? We'll discuss the quickest and most effective ways to handle these requests. Plus, we'll talk about overpayments and the additional functionality in the DME myCGS Web Portal.

Join this session to review the common errors found in diabetic shoe claims. Learn how to manage these errors and understand the specific roles of practitioners and suppliers involved in providing diabetic shoes.
Auditing Entities
Who are the auditing contractors that may review your original Medicare claims? Understand the role of these entities, how and when they conduct claim reviews, and how to successfully prepare for an audit.
Common DME (Walkers, Manual Wheelchairs, & Hospital Beds) Updates & Compliance
Join us to review errors found with common DME equipment claim submissions. We will discuss billing unique scenarios and discuss various audit results.
Spinal Orthoses Updates & Compliance
We'll discuss back braces and the most common reasons for denials, non-affirmations from prior authorizations, and tips on how to avoid them. Learn when to bill the DME MAC for a spinal orthosis versus when they are not separately payable.
