Urgent Reminder: Duplicate Appeal Submissions
The Provider Contact Center and the Appeals Department are seeing an increase in duplicate redetermination (appeal) submissions. Duplicate submissions will not be processed.
To prevent multiple submissions of the same redetermination:
- Check appeal status to determine if an appeal is already on file:
- myCGS web portal
- Interactive Voice Response System (IVR):

- Please allow 60 days from the date of receipt of the redetermination for CGS to reach a decision.
- If you received a redetermination decision and disagree with the outcome, another redetermination should not be submitted. Instead, you may request a second-level appeal, or reconsideration.
