January 2023 Release "Dark Days” for the Common Working File (CWF) Host
To accommodate the anticipated duration to install the January 2023 release, the CWF Host will observe a Gray Day on Thursday, December 29th, Dark Days beginning on Friday, December 30th through Sunday, January 1st, and the New Year’s Day holiday on Monday, January 2nd.
What this means to you:
- It is customary for contractors to hold claims for several days following a quarterly release. Claims submitted during this period will not continue to process until the nightly system cycle runs on Tuesday, January 3rd.
- We anticipate claims will still process within a normal timeframe and these slight delays will not affect the timeliness of your payments.
- This will not affect your ability to access beneficiary eligibility information through the myCGS portal or the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system, but the information will not update during the dark day period.
Home Health and Hospice providers: You can still submit Notices of Admission (NOAs) and Notices of Election (NOEs) during this period. If you feel the dark day period caused a late NOA/NOE submission, you must submit the appropriate supporting documentation with the associated final claim.
