September 2020 J15 Medicare Bulletin: Additional Changes!
We first told you about changes CGS made by consolidating the Part A, Part B, and Home Health & Hospice (HHH) bulletins into one single bulletin, the J15 Medicare Bulletin. Now, additional changes have been made beginning with the September 2020 Medicare Bulletin.
Starting with this issue, you will see an abbreviated version of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Medicare Learning Network® (MLN) articles. Information such as the Effective Date, Implementation Date, Provider Types Affected, and Provider Action Needed will be included. Then a link allowing you direct access to the MLN article will be provided. In cases where the MLN is revised after the J15 Bulletin is posted to our website, this allows you to access the most recent MLN issued by CMS.
The September 2020 J15 Medicare Bulletin is now available on our website. Articles include:
- CGS Office Has a New Address!
- SE20011 (Revised): Medicare Fee-For-Service (FFS) Response to the Public Health Emergency on the Coronavirus (COVID-19)
- Update: Advance Beneficiary Notice of Noncoverage (ABN), Form CMS-R-131 Renewal
In addition, the CGS J15 website has been updated to make one J15 Medicare Bulletin web page to include all 3 of the Part A, Part B, and HHH bulletins (prior to August) and the J15 Medicare Bulletin.
Don’t forget to take the "Test your Knowledge" exercise where you may earn education credit for reviewing the September 2020 edition of the J15 Medicare Bulletin! If you correctly answer eight of the ten questions, you will receive a Certificate of Completion that may be used to obtain education credit through your associations and societies! Good luck!
