About the CGS OEC Center

CGS offers many online education courses on popular topics. These presentations range from 15 to 45 minutes and provide a valuable overview of both policy specific topics and general topics like Advance Beneficiary Notice of Non-coverage. These are great training tools for new staff as well as opportunities for veteran providers and staff to brush up on their knowledge or learn about a new policy. Best of all, these online education courses are available whenever you find it most convenient; you can pause the course and come back later. Comprehensive Error Rate Testing Program (CERT)

At the conclusion of the course, you will be able to define what the CERT program is, understand how CMS applies the methodology to calculate error rates, be prepared to take appropriate action when you receive a CERT request, and have information to share with your doctors about common documentation and coding errors.

After completing this course you will be able to submit an MSP claim directly into the Fiscal Intermediary Standard System (FISS) via DDE, submit correct Claim Adjustment Segment (CAS) code information, review examples of MSP DDE claims, and access MSP resources on the CGS website.
