CGS Online Education Series

Series Intro

Video Series Introduction

Length: 02:59

Course Summary: CGS has years of experience processing DME claims. We were one of the original durable medical equipment regional carriers or DMERCS, processing claims for Jurisdiction D. In 2006, CGS won the Jurisdiction B contract and now we hold the Jurisdiction B contract as well. CGS won this new contract, in part, because of the excellent customer service and quality that CMS expects from its contractors. In addition, CGS is experienced in transitioning both incoming and outgoing work. As a result of this expertise, CGS anticipates no disruption to services for suppliers in Jurisdiction B.

Date Recorded: 03.04.16

LCDs

LCDs

Length: 02:48

Course Summary: Over the years, all of the DME MAC contractors standardized a lot of processes to minimize confusion for suppliers who conduct business with more than one DME MAC. Among the benefits of standardized processes is in the area of LCDs. All DME MACS began using the same set of policies meaning that the policy and coverage criteria you use today will remain the same when CGS begins 'day one' operations for Jurisdiction B on July 5th.

Medical Review

Length: 02:23

Course Summary: We have received several questions recently about how CGS will perform Medical Review functions as the new Jurisdiction B DME MAC. The good news is there will be very minimal, if any, changes in the Medical Review process. Following an extensive analysis of Jurisdiction B Medical Review, we have determined that our processes are extremely similar. The audit process you are familiar with today will remain the same. Medical Review strategy, which is a detailed plan created to reduce errors will likely not change at all – or, changes will be minimal.
