New Self-Service Option for Home Health Providers!

Do you have a high rate of Requests for Anticipated Payment (RAPs) being auto-cancelled because your home health final claim wasn’t submitted timely? CGS has the self-service option that can help. The Home Health Final Claim Timeliness Calculator will provide the date by which your final claim needs to be submitted to prevent your RAP from being auto-cancelled.

As a reminder, the home health final claim must be received 120 days after the start date of the episode or 60 days after the paid date of the RAP (whichever is greater). If the final claim is not submitted timely, the RAP will be auto-cancelled. As a result, The RAP will need to be resubmitted and processing of the final claim will be delayed.

The Home Health Final Claim Timeliness Calculator is located on the Self-Service Options Web page. You can calculate based on the start date of the home health episode, OR based on the paid date of the RAP.  Here’s how it works!

  • Start Date of HH PPS Episode:
From the Month, Day, and Year drop down menu select the start date of the home health episode. Then click “Calculate!” to display the date by which the final claim must be submitted to prevent the RAP auto-cancel.

  • Paid Date of RAP:
From the Month, Day, and Year drop down menu select the date that your RAP was paid. Then click “Calculate!” to display the date by which the final claim must be submitted to prevent the RAP auto-cancel.

Please share this self-service option with your billing staff and see the results of submitting your final claim timely.
